BALANCED SCHOOL DAY

The balanced school day will consist of three 100-minute blocks of teaching time (or 2 x 50 minute periods) with a 40 minute Fitness & Nutrition Break between each block. During the first break students will be encouraged to have a snack and to eat their lunch during second break. Primary students (SK-Grade 3) will eat first and then go outside, while Junior Students (Grade 4-6) will go outside first and then eat.

Our Morning and Afternoon Junior Kindergarten program do not follow the Balanced School Day since this is a half-day program. The nutrition and fitness break will be determined by the classroom teacher.
