"Roaring with Pride" Sharing Assemblies

Each month staff, students and families of Lincoln Centennial Public School gather together to celebrate the successes and accomplishments of the school community. This is a time to share what we as a school have done for the community and the work we accomplished in the school. Individual classrooms, clubs, and sports teams have the opportunity share songs, poems, plays, and celebrate the members of teams.

Once a month, students from each class are selected for the "LION'S PRIDE" Award. Students chosen have displayed excellence in one of our 6 Learning Skills: Responsibility, Organization, Independent Work, Collaboration, Initiative or Self-Regulation.

Each Month, we are also focused on a different Character Trait. One student from each class who exemplifies this trait over the course of the month will be selected.

October- Respect

November- Responsibility

March- Perseverance

May- Cooperation

At the end of the year, one student from each grade will be recognized for their achievements in Citizenship.

The use of Dreambox is encouraged as a math learning tool. It is regularly used in all classrooms in the school and can be accessed for home use too. Starting this year, classes will set a number of lessons achieved. Students reaching the goal will be recognized at our monthly assembly. At the year end, students reaching the goal each month will be recognized with a special award.

Lion's Paw tickets are given out to students demonstrating our monthly character trait. Tickets earned will be entered into a weekly draw.
